Slash has praised his former Guns N' Roses bandmate Axl Rose and the 2008 album he released in the band's name, 'Chinese Democracy'.
The guitarist, who left the group in 1996 and has claimed he turned down huge amounts of money to reunite with them, described the frontman as "fucking phenomenal" despite the pair famously falling out.
"It was the perfect Axl record," Slash told the New York Post about 'Chinese Democracy'.
He added that the album was "exactly what I would have expected from the final years of us working together, and seeing where he was headed musically. It's very heavy, sort of a dark, depressing record. He's fucking phenomenal".
When asked if he could reconcile with Rose, Slash seemed to think it was unlikely.
"I'm more stand-offish because I know how vehemently he hates me," he explained. "So that sort of makes me doubt it. But if we ran into each other and all that animosity were to pass for a second, then I'm sure we could have an interesting conversation."
